Christmas 2022

Christmas 2022 was celebrated with my mother in her new home in Gundsømagle in Denmark. Less space of course than in her old house but it worked pretty well with 3 people, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We went around to friends and neighbours in Gundsømagle to wish a Merry Christmas with a glass of port, snaps or gin & tonic. The traditional food for Danish Christmas was split over two days instead of a huge meal on the 24th of December. On the 25th, my mother and I went to the Christmas church service in the local Gundsømagle Church where my mother sings in the choir. The good thing about Gundsømagle is that it is like a village, where ‘everyone’ knows each other and I always have this ‘coming home’ feeling, which is even more appreciated around Christmas time.
