Happy New Year

Our New Year was spent in Skorradalur near Borganes. We have one dog that is terrified of fireworks and knowing from last year how crazy Icelanders are about shooting off fireworks, staying in Reykjavík was simply not an option. Skorradalur is a really beautiful area approximately one hours drive from Reykjavík, and with all its forest it resembles Sweden. There was snow most of the time we were there and we were able to do some nice walks with the dogs in the few hours of daylight. Roads were very slippery! Hence, we are most grateful for our new Landcruiser with new winter tires on (it was on the same slippery roads the old Landcruiser crashed in November).
