List of Siberian sled dogs
For those with an interest in Siberian Husky sled dogs, I have made a list as a subpage to the menu ‘Sled Dogs’ of all the 61 Siberians that lived at my Kennel Jarvik during the years 1984 to 2005. The kennel was closed here after and all remaining dogs handed over to other active Siberian Husky sled dog kennels. All dogs who lived at Kennel Jarvik were active sled dogs, and were trained from the age of approximately 6 months to the end of their lives. They were all wonderful pet dogs as well as working dogs. A few of them lived indoors but the majority preferred to stay outdoors. The most important thing for them was to have the company of fellow Siberians and be part of the sled dog training. In general, we trained them 3-4 times per week from end August to end May. All temperatures above 15 degrees and high humidity was a no go for sled dog training, and summer periods sometimes felt intolerable long. There was no better feeling than the crispy air in the morning and a super happy pack of Siberians after training!
