SVT Väst has been to visit us at Natrium, University of Gothenburg. Reporter Kerstin Siwertsson had read the portrait article in GU journalen and was curious to hear more about the IKKA project and how climate change leads to polar bears more frequently visiting our field area on the West coast of Greenland. My colleague Mark Peternell helped showing Kerstin around and informing her about all the cool projects taking place in his quite unique IceLab at Natrium. Besides the IKKA project, he is running his own research projects on plastic in glacier ice from Iceland, and an Antarctic ice shelf simulation project together with Anna Wåhlin from the Marine Department.
