Visit from Australia

We had Erik’s biological half-sister (same Australian father), Pip and her daughter Felis visiting from Australia over the week. It was such a joy to see them again! We visited them in Australia back in 2017, and then the whole family came to visit us in Iceland and in Stockholm, Sweden in summer 2019. Since then, the covid pandemic cancelled all our plans of going back to Australia. But now we hope to change that. Felis is studying Art & Design and will spend some time in Spain for her studies. Thus, they were nearby Sweden and Gothenburg viewed from an Australian perspective where distances across the continent are hard for us Europeans to grasp. Pip and Erik had a joyful conversation comparing gardens and plants. I have to say that Pip takes the price for her fantastic efforts in creating a beautiful garden on their farm near Hanging Rock (famous book, and famous movie by Peter Weir) – see article here:
